Frequently asked questions about Gauchitto dog beds

A round-up of the questions we receive most often by email.

Which size should I choose? Measure your dog from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail while lying down, then add 15 to 20 cm. If in doubt, choose the larger size or use our [Size Adviser](/size-advisor).

Can the cover be washed? Yes. Every cover can be fully unzipped and washed at 30 °C. Wash separately without fabric softener and do not tumble dry.

How long will the bed last? With normal use, the foam core will retain its properties for years. The cover is the part most subject to wear and can be replaced separately.

Is the bed suitable for a dog that chews? The fabric is durable, but no textile dog bed is indestructible. Do not leave your dog unattended with their new bed during the first few days.

Can the bed handle wet fur? The cover has a water-repellent finish that can cope with everyday moisture. It is not a waterproof barrier against urine.
